Shape how TicketSwap grows. Partner with teams across the business to turn financial complexity into clear insights, guide decisions with data, and help a global marketplace scale smarter and faster.

Job description

Driving strategic insight and decision-making across the TicketSwap marketplace

TicketSwap is on a mission to become the world’s favourite platform for fans to buy and sell tickets. With over 18 million users across 42 countries, we are building the marketplace where fans can access the events they love.

As the platform grows, so does the complexity of the decisions we face. Questions around marketplace dynamics, pricing, partnerships and growth require a deep understanding of what drives performance across markets and products.

As Marketplace Strategy & Analytics – Senior Business Controller, you help answer these questions. You combine analytical depth with business judgment to untangle complex issues, uncover the drivers behind marketplace performance, and translate insights into clear recommendations.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance and data, helping leadership make better decisions about where and how TicketSwap should grow.

Example problems you’ll work on

To give a sense of the type of challenges you might work on:

  • Identifying which markets, events or partnerships drive the strongest growth and long-term marketplace liquidity

  • Evaluating the impact of pricing or fee changes on marketplace dynamics and revenue

  • Analysing supply and demand dynamics across markets and identifying opportunities to improve marketplace balance

  • Assessing the impact of new product features or strategic partnerships on growth and unit economics

  • Helping leadership prioritise investments across markets, products and growth initiatives

  • Identifying operational improvements that increase marketplace efficiency

What you'll do

Partner with the business on complex questions

Act as a strategic sparring partner to leadership and key stakeholders. Work closely with teams across product, partnerships and operations to understand key business questions and performance drivers, structure complex problems into clear analytical frameworks, and support better decision-making through data and financial insight.

Turn data into insights and recommendations

Analyse performance across markets, products and initiatives to identify key drivers of growth and opportunities for improvement. Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and recommendations that help leadership make informed decisions.

Drive forecasting and business planning

Lead forecasting and scenario modelling to support company planning. Build financial and operational models that translate business drivers into revenue and performance forecasts.

Support strategic initiatives

Support leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives, including evaluating new opportunities, markets and investments. Identify ways to strengthen marketplace performance and long-term economics.

Job requirements

About you

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving business problems using analytical thinking and data, not someone primarily focused on traditional financial controlling.

You are able to zoom in and out effortlessly: connecting high-level strategic questions with the underlying data and operational drivers. You know when to stay at the strategic level and when deeper analysis is required to fully understand a problem.

You are naturally curious and motivated by understanding how things really work. Rather than relying on summaries or second-hand insights, you are willing to dig into the data, assumptions and mechanics yourself to build that understanding.

You likely have experience in roles such as:

  • Strategy or management consulting

  • Strategic finance in a tech or marketplace company

  • FP&A or commercial finance in a fast-growing business

  • Investment banking or corporate development

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in consulting, strategic finance, FP&A or similar analytical roles

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-structuring skills

  • Strong financial modelling and quantitative skills

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations

  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills

  • Curiosity about how businesses and marketplaces grow
