TicketSwap is on a journey to become the world’s favorite marketplace to safely buy and sell tickets. We’ve already reached about 18 million fans across 42 countries, and our mission is to be the experience marketplace every fan loves.

To keep scaling with confidence, we’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. You’ll work closely with our Data Engineering Domain Lead and collaborate with Data Analysts to deliver high-quality data that supports decision-making and drives great fan experiences.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help build and maintain the data systems that keep TicketSwap running smoothly, safely, and at scale. Your work will directly support decision-making across the business and unlock new opportunities for our product teams.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Build and maintain data pipelines end-to-end, from ingestion to transformation.

  • Develop streaming pipelines that help us process fan and event activity in real time.

  • Own and improve our data infrastructure, ensuring it’s reliable, scalable, and easy to extend.

  • Manage and optimize data warehouse performance so teams always have fast, clean data to work with.

  • Implement and maintain data quality and observability tools to keep our data trustworthy.

  • Collaborate closely with Data Analysts and Machine Learning Engineers to understand their needs and build solutions that make their work easier.

  • Support continuous improvements in how we model, document, and manage data across the company.

  • Contribute to a data culture where clarity, ownership, and curiosity are the norm.

  • Bring fresh ideas to the team, small improvements make a big difference here.

Job requirements

About You

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer

  • Experience with Python and strong SQL skills

  • Understanding of data pipelines and ETL/ELT concepts

  • A collaborative mindset, you enjoy working with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership of your work

  • You currently have the legal right to work in the Netherlands and do not require TicketSwap to initiate a new visa sponsorship process for you

  • Eager to learn and excited about building high-quality data systems

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS is a plus)

  • Familiarity with tools like dbt, Terraform, Clickhouse, meltano, and event-based architectures

  • Basic understanding of data modelling principles

  • Interest in analytics, experimentation, and how businesses use data
